Pinterest

Pinterest
I may be really slow, ignorant, or just blinded by my own path, but I just decided to look at Pinterest and see what all the fuss was about. I noticed people say it was addicting, and talk about how awesome it was...and it really is true. Oh my. I spent a lot of time looking at that site. Whew. I got some fun ideas, though, and I really have no idea what my "repins" or "likes" are all about, but I am doing it. Awesome stuff!

I have been organizing and unpacking my workroom/guest room, and I have been finding all kinds of fun things. It seems like at first, I didn't really want to do it, but now, I just want to keep opening boxes and see what I can find and make out of it. You're probably wondering, "How does she not know what she has?" but...I just have stuff. Stuff, like craft items, fabric, BEADS, paper, stamps, things of all kinds, from years and years, that have all been packed away for a while. Ugh. This sounds completely opposite from what I just said, but I am dreading opening all the boxes because I have no idea what I am going to do with all the stuff I find. I think I may find the right mood, to where I say, "Someone else can use this!" but I have to figure out who, and how, I am getting it to. Any takers? What kind of stuff are YOU looking for? I bet I have it!!

I know it has been forever, but I honestly have been busy with something else. School, kids, health, etc. But here I am now! I need something to keep me involved with myself on all levels, and I think this may do it. Keep me accountable, keep my life interesting, and if someone wants to know, they can. Ha ha.

"Try this...

There is a recipe I want to try, i need to keep track of it:

ideas i want to keep track of:

1. Moral excellence comes about as a result of habit. We become just by doing just acts, temperate by doing temperate acts, brave by doing brave acts. Aristotle

2. First say to yourself what you would be; and then do what you have to do. Epictetus

3. Trust only movement. Life happens at the level of events, not of words. Trust movement. Alfred Adler

4. Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing. Helen Keller

5. Long have you timidly waded holding a plank by the shore,
Now I will you to be a bold swimmer,
To jump off in the midst of the sea, rise again, nod to me, shout,
and laughingly dash with your hair. Walt Whitman

6. How we spend our days is, of course, how we spend our lives.
Annie Dillard

7. Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life? Mary Oliver

Once again, I appear randomly.

Its a new year! I could have a resolution to blog more, but I think that might not work. I need a place to vent, to let stuff out, though. I need a place to just say random stuff, to leave ideas, to have thoughts floating around that I can catch sometimes. So...here I go again.
As we all know by now, I am vegan, and have been since June. That "diet" could be tricky. There are lots of processed items, like OREOS that are technically vegan...but you don't really think about it unless someone tells you or you find out some other way. So just being vegan doesn't mean you eat healthier or you lose weight, it just means that you don't eat any animal stuffs. Agh.

My resolutions for the new year....
-keep up a healthy lifestyle. don't eat all those desserts and treats, and things that I think I need but I know my body doesn't need
-have better control over myself. i need to be able to accomplish all tasks on time, without making up reasons for NOT doing it.
-exercise...this also goes along with the first two. the control over my actions, attitude and lifestyle will make it easier to exercise.
-graduate, finally. i'm getting there!
-work harder to create more interest and success in my businesses.
