Marathon

I was watching KCSG, the St. George news station, and there is an 84 year old guy who runs the St. George marathon. Wow.
I have had an urge to run for the past two years or so. I have wished I was a runner, I love the feeling of running, but I hate that I am so weak and so out of shape that I can't do it. I really want to do it!
I think I will do it next year, the St. George Marathon. I know it sounds crazy, but why not? I can build up to it, it is in a year, afterall. It will give me inspiration and motivation to keep exercising and to be healthier.
But
marathons are 26.2 miles!
I can do it. Maybe there are other short runs to try to build up to it, too. I know there are, actually. I just have to find them!

What do you think?

Reach your goal!

I’ve decided to start my exercising again. I found something that I’d really like to do. It’s onSelf.com, and it is part of the Self “Reach your goal” challenges. I’m doing the lose your baby weight one, obviously. The only problem I have with it is that I don’t know if I’ll ever have time to do a lot of the exercising, but I think I can fit it into my schedule since I can go for walks with Neils or something. The cold air is starting to discourage me, though. I wish I had a jogger stroller, then I could go to the indoor gym at SUU and use that in the winter. I can also sign up for a class where I HAVE to go to the gym at least 3 days a week for half an hour each time. I think that is it…I did it a few years ago. I don’t know why I didn’t think of doing it this semester! Duh!

On the Self website, which I LOVE, by the way, there is a place where you can do the challenges together. You can sign up, invite friends, and you can all post about your progress. I was wondering if anybody wanted to do it with me, since there are a lot of you who have babies and might want to join, but I think that it will work for you in a positive way even if you didn’t just have a baby. It is just exercising and eating right, so I think it could work for anybody. I just chose that, since it is a big issue to me right now. Just to exercise and become more fit. I wanted to try the running one, but I don’t think I am physically capable of even running half a mile at the moment.
So, anybody want to play??

Rooster hair

I remember now!

I dropped my brother off a school a few weeks ago, and I noticed something very strange...

Within the two minutes taht I was near Cedar High, I saw three girls with the same hairstyle. I know they can't be the only three at that school with the same hair style, so it makes me laugh. Why is it so funny? Because it is a silly hair style. It really is...it's like a rooster or something... I know one girl who has the hairstyle, and right now I'm working on finding a picture of her on the internet. I can do it...I know who she is, but I don't know her personally (she is my ex boyfriend's brother's wife now, they weren't dating when I was around)

Ahh, here is the hairstyle...her face is colored out...

Isn't it silly? Chopping your hair down to one or two inches on the top of your head?? The other girls hair was a little different, more in the back and in onyl a tiny spot, not so spread out like this, but it was the best way I could show and explain it. Plus, I think this is silly, too. Sure, I chopped my hair like that once, but the rest of my hair was really short, too. I know I've had silly hairdos, but I wasn't like five other people in my school, either. I'm not trying to be mean, I just wanted to share it. It makes me smile everytime I see it.

Please, just let me know what you think. I want to hear all the comments! Take two seconds to let me know if you think I'm mean for calling it silly, or whatever else you may think!

A Proposal...

I am sitting on my bed, working on my website and watching "Made of Honor" with Anthony (who is being a super-dork by the way, sorting though MAGIC cards, of all things...) and for some reason, something in the movie made me wonder, "what is is like to want to ask someone to marry you?"
So, I asked Anthony.
His answer...
"I don't know."
Ugh. "You don't know?!?" I asked, confused.
"I don't know," he said. Then he said, "You didn't want to ask me to marry you?" somewhat jokingly. "I asked you, didn't I?"
And that is all. Moving on.

Cousins

Their mommies were cooking dinner, and they wanted to be in the kitchen, too.

Going for walks.

Taking baths. They are so cute!

When Atreyu and Cait first got here, Atreyu kept wanting to grab Neils. They played around with Neils's toys, and they made us all laugh with the silly things they do. I wish I had taken more pictures, but I only have a few more, and I will post them later.

August pictures

I found some pictures from August. I have too many memory cards, and I use them all the time, so I get things lost nd mixed up. So, here's my cute kid last month.

The first time he tried it one handed.
He was trying to get to me!

I found this seat at a yard sale. We set it up at my mom's house.
I think he really likes being able to be at the same level as everyone else, especially when we're cooking in the kitchen.

He is so messy with teething biscuits!
he makes me laugh
He is just so funny...he has the silliest personality!

Name that baby

I tried.

Kind of similar...

The closest comparison pictures I could find here...

Getting married

Ha.
I notice lots of girls in my classes who are getting married, looking on the internet for things like dresses and tuxs, but I never notice anyone looking at jewelry. Maybe I should offer my services...but also, I don't think I could just do that. I still don't have that up-front attitude where I can just solicit my site and my skills.
Hmm.

Always a silly kid

He likes to put random stuff in his mouth, and he likes to make messes, so I let him. To an extent, of course. He's just so cute!

I know I don't or haven't said much lately...
I had a pretty bad night, but both Meg and Anthony made me feel better. I never get to talk to her, so basically any talking with her makes me feel good. He is good at lifting my spirits and making me feel like I'm great, like I'm important and like I deserve good things.
Still, I wish things like this didn't have to happen. I am kind of in an awkward situation, and it sucks, but I don't think I can get out of it really. I can't really explain, either.
I plan on posting more stuff on my site and actually getting it done, but it is so hard, especially with a broken sewing machine! I have to go get it fixed, hopefully tomorrow or sometime soon. I just need more time. I think that's all I want...the only thing I never need is time. Ugh.

P.S. He DOES wear shirts, but he also makes messes so I take them off so he doesn't look gross.

Sleeping, again

It seems that Neils has fallen back into a pattern of sleeping. He will go to bed somewhere between 8 and 9, and usually wake up around 12, then around 3, then gets up at 6. He then takes a nap a little while later, but sometimes this is the hard part. the good, thing, though, is that he isn't waking up every hour for the first half of the night. I like this sleeping pattern better, but I wish there were longer gaps in between wakings. Someday....
Anthony has been helping alot more the past week, and that helps me a lot with getting through the days. Yay.

A funny quote

I was readingan interview on an artist, and in it she said,
"We have a chubby cat named Six. I don't overfeed her. It's just the way she is."
That made melaugh out loud. During class.
I should be paying attention.

The cutest kid

Can you find a cuter boy? I don't think so!!
